I want to upgrade my RAM for my Travelmate 2303 laptop. I went to www.crucial.com to run their scan, and its says i have a DDR PC2700 chip with 256 MB memory. It is in one slot and there are 2 slots total. My question is, how do I tell how many pins are on the chip so I get the right chip if I order them? Also, I'm looking at getting 1 or 2 gigs, so recommendations on what to buy are also appreciated. Thanks :)

...unless it's DDR laptop modules, in which case they have 200 pins, just like DDR2. The laptop I am typing this on, on the other hand, uses 144-pin PC133 modules.

Bowser, more RAM is almost always better, so if your budget permits it, go with as large an upgrade as possible. Any PC2700 laptop module you can find will be 200-pin, since that is the standard form factor, so you don't have to worry about that part.
