Wanted: FTP Software

I was hoping I might find a freeware FTP utility on MG -- but I'm not finding any FTP software at all (shareware or freeware) in the Downloads section. What am I missing? What section should that software be in?

CuteFTP and SmartFTP have been recommended for Internet file transfer (uploading files to my webspace) but both are shareware. I prefer freeware when it's both available and reliable.

Any recommendations, anyone?

Might try looking through this, http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads13.html. I can't personally recommend an app, but there is freeware available in this section. Hope this helps!

SmartFTP is actually free for personal/educational non-commercial use. (SmartFTP Knowledge Base Article)

Also see here: License and Pricing (under "Unlicensed"). Users get a "license reminder" once in a blue moon but as a Personal, Educational or Non-Profit Organization... its FREE to use.

Be sure to check out the license agreement in the following link to verify that you qualify to use SmartFTP for free. End User License Agreement

Another great FTP software called AceFTP is still freeware, although you might need a free registration code.
