Wanted: Way to send emails privately

I would like to know how to send emails to a group of people without each person seeing the list of people getting the email from me. They would all know it is from me, but their name would be held in confidence.

Is this possible, and is there an easy way to do it.

I use Yahoo email - but I don't know if the solution is email specific....

Yeah. When you type in their email addresses, there are usually three boxes: To:, CC:, and BCC:. BCC means Blind Carbon Copy. So they'll all get the same email, but they won't know of each others presence. You might have to seperate each seperate address with a comma.

 

Or a semicolon. Pretty sure OE and Outlook require semicolons to separate.

 

How is CC: diferent from To: ?

 

It's not.

For Memos (where the format was initiated) you would put the primary recipient in the To field and any secondary recipients in the CC field. For example, if you're a VP and you send a memo to the President, you might CC it to the other VP's.

But beyond the primary/secondary connotation, there's no difference.

Try Stealth Mail (URL: http://www.stealthmessage.com ) very secure, or at least that is my findings.

 

Another thought re sending emails is to download PGP (Http://www.pgp.com) and use it to encrypt the window. This does require the recipient to also have PGP though
