Warnings when using Avira AntiVir scan

When I scan my system using Avira AntiVir Personal, I get two warnings in the report:

C:\pagefile.sys
[WARNING] The file could not be opened!
[NOTE] This file is a Windows system file.
[NOTE] This file cannot be opened for scanning.
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe
[WARNING] The file could not be opened!

I know that pagefile.sys is a system file that is supposed to be there, but when I looked I saw that it is 2GB, which sounds pretty big. Should I be concerned?

The SpybotSD.exe warning is the one that really bothers me. I recently had some malware issues that I seem to have resolved, and since then I have completely uninstalled SpybotSD but my system will not let me delete that file no matter what I do. does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

You can tell the scanner to skip those two files.
1. Right click the tray icon and select Configure Avira
2. In the left pane, expand Scanner and click on Scan
3. Under Scan, still in the left pane, click on Exceptions
4. Type in C:\pagefile.sys and click the add button
Repeat for the 2nd item.

You will no longer see the two error messages because the scanner will skip those.

Should you ever decide you no longer want the two items skipped, repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 above then highlight one item in the box on the right and click the delete key. Highlight the remaining item and click the delete key.
