was i ripped off or is there somfin wrong with XP

i have to computers which are about three years old and have 1.6 cpu's ones a AMD DURON and the other was a AMD palomino XP 1.6 ne ways in i was looking in the system info of both of them and they both say they have lower cpu's then they are suppose too. the palomino xp says that cpu is only a 1.4 and the duron says that it is a 1.2 is this an window Xp problem or did they give me the wrong cpu?

 

You didn't get ripped off. Things are as they should be. I have an AMD Athlon XP 2000 in my box. The actually clock speeds for AMD chips are lower than the number that the chips are made, but, because of the way that the data is processed in the chip, it is as if it was EQUAL in processing rate to an Intel chip of the "named" speed.
