I want to be able to watch TV on my PC, how would I go about doing this?
I know first port of call would be a tv-out connection, I have one of these (I think :p)
What do I need, where do I need to plug things into etc.

Any help would be very much appreciated as it would ensure that absolutely no work, what-so-ever, would get done on my computer :p

    Thanks all

    Kirk

EDIT: Graphics card is 6800gt asus

So the TV-Tuner plugs into my TV-out connection?

No, it goes into the pc into a pci slot.

Tv out is used to display something from the computer on a tv screen not visa versa.

Will I have a pci slot if my gfx card is agp?

Yes unless you have a really crappy mother board :)

Nope I dont think it is a crappy motherboard, Everest has kindly informed me that I have four expansion slots, 3 PCI and 1 AGP.

So all I need now is a TV-tuner and I'm good to go, right?

Being from America, I'm not sure you will know the way English TV works but for any one else reading, would it be possible to watch Sky on my PC (which I subscribe to)?

If not what about free-view channels?

Or would it just be plain old 1-5?

Say hi to Dorothy for me :p

The structure of TV in England, I think is quite strange.

Firstly there is BBC1, BBC2, ITV, CH4 AND Five that everyone who has a TV can watch. (Only if they have a TV license of course!)

Then there is free-view, whichyou need a set-top box for. Which as the title gives away is free.

Then there is Sky, which is a subscription based service that has Movie, Sport channels etc.

I'm just not sure how I would get the feed from my sky+ box to my PC.
It's a thinker, thats for sure.

Actually just take coax out from your set top box to the tv in on the tuner :) Its good to go,
