Watching US Shows in the UK

Hello,
Firslty, please don't mug me off too badly for asking what is probably a very schoolboy question but I don't know that much about this sort of thing.

Mrs Nellington want's to watch some TV programmes that are being shown in the US but have not yet been released in the UK. I have found some websites that stream them but they all come up with an error message that says that they cannot be watched outside of the US. I have tried a few places to download them too but even places like Itunes will only sell episodes that have already been shown on UK networks.

Someone mentioned that you can trick websites into thinking that you are actually in the US rather than the UK and thus will let you to stream these programs.

Questions:
1) Is this true?
2) How do I do it!!!!!!!!

 

Personally I've never tried it, but I've seen other guys do it.
search google for an ip address changer, try and find one that let's you select your desired country, and I guess you'll want a free one too.

You may be limited by your ISP though, I'm not Sure they allow you to Change your ip address
