way to organize music files

    i looked into other forums but didnt find much help
    i am looking for a program that can organize my music
    i prefer free but will pay
    since my buddy was a dj and gave me all his music
    i have a lot of music 45,000+ songs to file preferably by author

    any suggestions

    ok how about this

    i have several files i dont know the names of them. is there a program like wmp for example that will look on web to name them and able to save the names to the files

    Hi

    Try MP3Tag (free) worth a try but at some point you'd need either a tag in the file ID or a name.

    +1, this is a very powerful program once you learn it, the "Actions" are your friend once you learn all that you can control. I say copy and paste a folder of mp3's to play with before going to town on your collection.
