ok, using itunes to import tracks from cds and it's running at speeds of like 1.1x when before it used to run at about 6 - 7x!!!! this is running really slowly and takes like 3 mins to copy one track! is there any way to speed up the importing progress????
i haven't tried my other drive which is a 48x cdrom, i'm just using my 12x dvd r/rw drive which should be pretty fast!?!?!?!?!?

Why don't you try your 48X CD-rom, no matter what it should be faster.
