    I just bought external hard disk 1T WD but it didn't work i have windows xp pro sp3 i have 500GB WD and it works fine, i tried to update all my drivers and reinstalled windows even i tried ever USB port and i got nothing please can you help me solve this problem?..

    Have a 250 and a 500 here, use on XP Home and Pro, both up to date, as well as a Linux OS. May be defective, especially if not recognized by OS. Have you tried Western Digital on line? Save your receipts...
