I just purchased this WD hdd- WD20ezrx. http://www.amazon.com/WD-Green-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B008YAHW6I

I put it into my hot swap bay - Thermaltake rx-1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133194

It immediately gave message - Explorer.exe server error and I couldn't open My computer, Control panel, devices and printers.

I installed it in my case (unplugged a current hdd) and it seemed fine.

I was able to format and use it.

I then reinstalled it to a separate bay and got the same message.

I have the Asus p8z77-v MOBO, and tried every port (6gb and 3gb)

Even a rollback would not solve the problem and I had to do a complete recovery from a backup image.:mad

All my hdds work in the hot swap bay - even a WD Red, so I cannot figure out what is going on.

I ran a scan now check and it found no errors- obviously wrong.:p

I also went into BIOS and the hdd is recognized.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Paul
