i some times back space out of web pages games videos and etc alot . usauly when holding mouse button and others . i cannot find if it is linked to a shortcut or etc . i highly doubt its a hijacker before any one screams virus . so i was wondering if there is maybe either a program or a fire fox add on which with the tick of a button can lock you on the page you are on.

that might help but i am more or less. wanting to lock it on the page you are on so there is no way to accidently back space out of it[go back] or basickly exit it i will try tht firefox add on . more or less i just need a way to disable the directional keys effect on the browser -makeing it go back a page or forward.

i searched for it found 3 others i liked but nothing like what you had said.

 

im not realy saying it is my own as much as a combination of keys and it does it in ie to lol

 

would be great if the problem was tab closeing but its backspaceing is the problem

i asked the same question in a diferent form on a diferent site so i thought id re idierate here for you guys.



i need a utility which can lock a browser page but allow you to do things on it. such as watcha movie or play a game. see the problem is accidental back spaceing out of pages useing directional and mouse ive looked for the source of the issue cant find it tryed one fire fox addon to lock tabs. which ya i couldnt close out but didnt fix my problem. so i need a program which can lock the page from back and or forward surfing. or at least give me a warning and ask me if i want to allow the action.

 

i tried to use ur add on disabled it and its not back space its arrow keys and mouse it does it randomly with those in use-my hand is not near the back space the back space might as well be out of the key board.........

 

forget about it i decided i would stob being lazy and jus make them into .htmls and direct link to said object so there is no possible page for it to back into
problem semi fixed......

 

well i wont be doing it for every page just a few and its for games i play which are in the browser where useing both in conjunction it happens
