    i am looking for some sort of free software that will allow me to my own build scrapers to gather pricing, model, size, etc. of digital cameras on electronic websites. thx.

    you can try OutWit Hub. It allows you to build your own scrapers and I find that it works pretty well with most websites. they also have different views for looking at the information on Websites so you may not even have to build a scraper.
