    Hi guys,

For the past few days I've been working on a pretty cheap site for an online Playstation game I play. I use to be decent with html but haven't made a site in like 3 or 4 years so now html skills are horrible. So I decided to make my site with yahoo pagebuilder.

Here is the link to the site: www.foxhound.cjb.net

    The problems I'm having are:

    1. The borders are not perfectly aligned which annoys me.

    2. If you go to this page: http://www.geocities.com/jamesbc11/foxhound_stats.html you'll notice the stats are two jpg pictures. I made those two tables in html but whenever I put them on that page the border get all messed up.
Here is an example of what happens when I add the tables in html: http://www.geocities.com/jamesbc11/STATSTEST.html

    3. The other thing that bugs me is when I read the page source and see the html code yahoo pagebuilder put, they add a bunch of useless cells, tags and so on. Like I see 3 or 4 html and body tags which I find really odd.

So I'd just like to know how can I fix the borders alignment issue, and the html table issue on my stats page because that page is just all messed up.

I don't really want to dig threw the html right now but I can answer some of the questions anyways.

    1. The borders are lining up correctly. If you look at the left border on the left side of it you'll see it is perfectly flush with the top left corner. On the right side of the left border it doesn't quite mtch up. But this isn't an html problem. The actual border art isn't correct. It's a few pixels too narrow.

    3. You can't do anything about that. Using any kinda of site builder like front page or dreamweaver will always produce absolutly retarded looking code. Some produce slightly less retarded code but there isn't a sinlge page builder out there that produces nice to look at and completely non repetitive code. If you want the code to be written well you've got to do it by hand.

Thanks for the response but the left and right borders are not perfectly aligned actually. http://www.geocities.com/jamesbc11/STATSTEST2.html

That's a second test page I made where I made both the right and left border's width identical and changed the height to show that they are not lining up the way they should. I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. But I talked with one of my friends who is a web designer and he told me the same thing you said, "Start from scratch and do it all by hand" which sucks lol

here's an outline of your site's tables.. Look at the width the tables. This should help you figure out which tables you need to modify to line up the borders. OR make your top border wider to match the side borders.
