The web site for a Rottweiler rescue group, of which I am a member, was hacked, and "stolen."
All of our information is gone and our webmaster cannot access the site to correct it.

Could anyone here help us find out how to remedy this and see if we can regain our website?
Much of the info was of a personal nature regarding potential adopting individuals and families.

    The web site is www.ssrr.org

    Thank you.

Seems we were not hijacked. We have undergone some changes in our administrative board, and our domain did not get renewed through an oversite.
An individual or group, evidently know in internet circles for the practice, took over the domain, and registered it as theirs. Supposedly the group or individual then "sells" that domain back to the original owner for a tidy sum. (One of the group's BOD referred to it as a ransom )
Why a rescue group is unknown. Doubtful any would have enough capital to pay any amount, even if so inclined.
Right now the problem is getting the new site up running and overcoming the redirect to the old site that contains nothing that would aid adoption of Rottweilers, and is happening when one tries to access our new site, or our name.
Perhaps I will be fortunate enough to meet this individual/group and do the "airborne shuffle on their body."

I would like to pick this up again...

Is there a way to get the search engines to move our rescue group's new site, www.southernstatesrescuedrottweilers.org up in their listings?
Our old site still shows but with the junk the new owners put up. Can we get ourselves disassociated with them on the search listings?
Is there a single source that will allow is to communicate with the many search engines at one time, or is this a one by one scenario?
Is there a way to learn who took our site?
I realize this one post has a lot of questions.
We need to get ourselves toward the top of the search engine listings as quickly as possible. Experience has taught us that if there is difficulty communicating or finding us, many people will quit trying. That could cost the lives of many Rottweilers.

    Thanks,
