webcam woes

    my dads got a webcam which uses a usb 1.1 interface, problem is he only has 1 usb 1.1 interface on his pc and therefore has a 4 port 2.0 usb adapter plugged into his 1.1 usb on pc. is there anyway of getting the webcam to work through this 4 port adapter?

    It is possible the camera is not getting enough power through the USB port on the USB Hub. The only way to correct this problem is to get a powered USB hub, or directly connect the camera to the PC when you want to use it.
