webhancer & wildtangent

i have microsoft windows xp with xoftspy se antispyware. i was running my
weekly scan and webhancer and wildtangent were indicated as high risk. before the scan could complete and i could delete these, a box popped up saying xoftspy se had encountered a problem and need to close. when i tried to delete the information anyway, the window closed the web page. i tried
repeatedly to re-run the scan but the page freezes than closes. What are webhancer and wildtangent. is my computer in danger? please help, i am a novice at computers.

 

please help. i am afraid use my computer until i know what this is and what to do.

As for webhancer... it's malware. Follow the instructions in this post to remove.
