    Hello everyone;

    I'm looking for a free webpage creator, (free as in freeware) I was using frontpage 2003 but it up and died on me and I can't get it installed again and I'm currently holding a bad job, but I want to keep my site up and running... so if you can recommend me a good webpage creator... OH and by the way I feel I should mention:

    - I don't know coding so I'd like it to be a WYSIWYG program.

    since frontpage died on me I've been getting really frustrated really easy so please do help...

    Hi,
    KompoZer is in my opinion the best WYSIWYG out there right now.

    It is basically an upgraded version of NVU that is stable and bug free.
    NVU is what I learned on a couple of years ago.

    Here are some more freeware WYSIWYG editors.

    Hope that Helps

    everyone always tells me to goto KompoZer but I find it difficult to use, perhaps cause my sites are so simple...

    Why can't you reinstall it? Have you tried? What happens?

    Hmm, that doesn't make much sense, in my opinion. Simple sites are going to be easier than complex sites, no matter what tools you use to create them. I've used Nvu and I've just recently installed KompoZer and they are quite similar. Since you don't know how to directly code HTML, I don't believe you have very many choices.

    I can't reinstall it since I only bought an upgrade since I was told at time of purchase that it would allow me to use the full program an it'd be a money saver... never had issues till now as after I started to run into issues with it I uninstalled everything fully and tossed in my CD to reinstall it and when I punch in my key it basically tells me that it's a "upgrade key" nothin more nothin less so I have to have a base on the system for it to work....

    The only other free & easy one I would recommend is "FirstPage 2006 3.00"
    But I would still recommend Kompozer over it.

    usafveteran is right, your choices are limited.

    Any new software is going to have a learning curve for you to go through.
    If you would just give Kompozer a chance and apply yourself to it, you will find that it is rather simple. There are plenty of tutorials for beginners using Kompozer.

    Well, since it's an upgrade CD, you must have had an older version of FrontPage installed in order to be able to use the upgrade CD at any time. So, obviously, you need the CD for an older version of FrontPage, just as when you first installed the upgrade. Do you have the CD for the older version?
