do you guys know where the best place to host a website is...and it has to be free?

 

I use www.1asphost.com 100mb of space, no ads, unlimited bandwith. and free.

 

thanks, but i really don't know htmllike anything with a html generator...basically a better version of geocites or freewebs

 

well if you have frontpage, then i guess you could use that. im not sure i know of any place like that.

You'll get better deals with hosting if you can code it yourself (or at least know how to use the webspace)

 

another easy editor is tripod.com but i'm unsure as to how much space you get. if you're unsure with html, then as Neo said - frontpage will help you there!

 

Tripod is a biznatch for ads screwing with your pages. I think you get about 15MB with them (I might be wrong).

 

I would just learn how to write the stuff from scratch, its not that hard and you'll get a learning experience from it.

 

I just found this dreamweaver thing...and that has html generator thing, so would i just copy and paste the html code from that to whatever i use to host the site?

eh, if its ur first its alright. i dont like the colors, and theres not much on there. but i think its good for a beginner. but once you learn more i would stay away from geocities. they are horrendous. they give like no space and a ton of ads.

 

Not too bad, and yes Dreamweaver is awesome Use it all the time myself, lots of useful features. The code doesn't look too bad either

 

I just made it in 5 min so im still working on the colors...the only reason i used geocities is just because i just wanted to see what it looked like, i'm probably going to switch it to freewebs sometime soon

Change the heading color from something besides orange. make it something like black
