    Hi,

I posted in another thread with a password manager question, about IE7 being slow. I reverted to IE6 and it acted the same so I installed IE7 again. I remembered that it started after I installed spy sweeper yesterday. I chose to shut down spy sweeper today and now IE7 is a lot faster. The problem for me was that when I clicked a link on a page it was taking 15 to 20 seconds before IE7 would take me to what I clicked. Now it takes me there almost instantly. Anyone have any suggestions other than turning off spysweeper and just using it to scan my system? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have spyware blaster. Spy sweeper was recomended here in another post that i made. I paid for spy sweeper so I can't just uninstall it and throw money away.

    Whitetiger:
spy sweeper is doing what it's supposed to. monitering what you are getting from the web.. you can let it continue or you can take your chances of getting something bad while it's shut down and hoping nothing will happen to your computer before you get around to running it manually...

    been there done that
use spywaredoctor myself now but still like spysweeper

Dude had spysweeper too (paid version). Very good, but it was a choice between dealing with it slowing down things, or getting something else. It caught a lot of stuff but eventually I just let my subscription run out.

I paid for Spy Sweeper, I like it. There is an option on the main screen of the program to turn off the autoload when windows starts, unclick it. You are removing the active protections, but can call it up from the programs menu (or move it to the desktop like I did) and it works just fine.
