I work at a small business. We strive to keep costs down to keep the doors open and things running. Part of that is that I am often the tech guy for our company, even though I do not have training, just hobby-level knowledge.

We had our website designed and hosted by a company charging a huge amount each month. We left the company and began hosting the site ourselves. Since we had purchased the website design and content from the company, they provided the files to host. The problem is now the website shows a redirect screen and is showing up as a preview website. Everything works and is editable, but the website shows a screen which says "You are being redirected to your EUI".

I have access to the directories and all the files. I have been making changes to some of the website's contents, but I cannot figure out how to get rid of the preview at the beginning. It seems that all the actual content for the website is housed in a folder under the preview site heading. If I simply change the name of the folder (directory), the site goes down.

I am afraid to make any large changes at this point. I do not know if someone will be able to actually tell me how to fix it, but I was hoping people here may be able to point me in the direction of some resources for me to learn how to fix it myself.

    Any help would be great.

Sorry, not had much involvement with this , but I feel this site might help you work out a way to change it - My antivirus/malware programs did not find anything, so might be worth a look.

Perhaps someone else on majorgeeks may have more knowledge on this.

In the root of the website do you have an index.html? Are you using a redirector? like the people you paid for the website name?

Yes, there is an index.html. I am viewing all of this through a file manager on my hosting site, Site5. There is a folder labeled "Public_html", under that is a folder labeled "sitename.firmsitepreview.com", and that folder has the "index.html" along with all the other folders containing elements on the website.

I tried to relabel the folder, but that brought the site down. I am afraid to alter the folders or subfolders in any way for fear that the site will stop functioning.

There is a folder labeled "sitename.com", but it is completely empty and not within the "Public_html" folder.
