website blocker

hello, my father needs to install a website blocker that will only allow acess to websites that are on the list and block the rest. Can anyone help me out with a program that will do this. A free one would be great. Thanks

 

nobody knows of any program?

 

i know i can block certain websites and i know u can allow only certain websites but i cant find this method for windows xp

you can do this through IE7. its very simple and very useful

 

right click the IE icon on ur desktop,click on the properties tab, click on the content tab, hit settings, drag the slider to the left until it reads none. hit apply. go to the approved sites tab and add what approved sites you want. hit apply. go back to the content tab and hit enable. if prompted for a password before this create a password and ur done. its very simple and very effective.

not a problem. i did a search through Google and couldn't find anything on this. this makes it really easy for parents to block sites. but the bad part all the kids have to do is go to the c drive and type in the addresses they want to go to there. unless there good with computers they probably wouldn't figure that out.
