I have come to trust major Geeks over the years for the most part. I thought I would come and see what website downloader tool they suggest. I could not find one on MG. Did I just miss it? If not, could someone recommend a good one? I have tried Website eXtractor but had no end of problems with it crashing in the middle of a download.. and I need to download a whole website that's really big.. over 50 thousand files and a few gigs worth of space.

Before anyone jumps on me for the unethical reasons (not to mention the bandwidth usage on the server) for the argument against downloading a whole website.. I have the owners permission to do so, but they are not in a position to provide me with a copy of the site themselves.

Easiest way i know of is if ya have shell access on a linux box, use the command wget, but for fun, im leaving ya at that, gonna have to use the manual to figure out your exact syntax :)

in order to download a whole website, it would be easier to have ftp access (if you have the owners permission) and download it that way. The owner would be able to give you read only access to the proper directories.
