Website Issue !!!!!

    Hi...

    This is the website i have developed in php/my sql..

    THe problem is..the home page takes too much time to load..specially under dial up connection..Pl. give me suggestions to improve this site...

    well...it IS large and graphic intensive. seems like it loaded just fine to me.

    Your index page is gigantic in both length and content. Seriously consider revising the layout to display a synopsis of items. Consider organzing your categories into smaller chunks. Look at newegg.com and see how they did theirs.. it's done very well.

    Change your presentation. You're frontloading a few MB's in graphics and information. As indicated by your last statement regarding dialup, it's a bandwidth issue, not a coding issue.

    Index the items by category, and limit items to 10 per page. That should help.
