Incidentally, I just checked this site and I believe keyfinderthing.com is available for the taking currently' as it appears to be an "unused" domain name thus far.

the answer to all the questions is 'not sure'!

I'd rather have a full domain name than a subdomain, you can see how much traffic i've had since june 11 on the image above! to be fair ill be using the MG mirror for the actual download i'd just like a proper domain and website for it now instead of the one i'm using which was originally bought for a different project.

I could just wait till I can afford it myself and leave the files on MG but something in my head wants a proper domain lol

 

In any case, you might consider at least "securing" the domain name keyfinderthing.com for a year or two while it is still available. Just securing the domain NAME alone is cheap these days.

I'd be happy to send you $10 bucks toward the cause. Just let me know how; PayPal, check, etc. I can even send a crisp 10'er if you'd prefer that.

Side note: sorry about getting carried away with the OT posts in you other keyfinder thread. I asked HALO to remove them. I can always post them again in the future in a more relevant thread.

Someone registered keyfinderthing.com over the weekend and i'd just got myself round to ordering one lol, so looks like its going to be keyfinderthing.net

Oh no... Not again! Same thing happened a friend of mine a few years back!

He was thinking about setting up an "all-inclusive" auto parts website back in the summer of 2001 and had a great name for it: AnyAutoparts.com. I advised him to secure the domain name as well, but he told me that he wanted to wait until he bought the Macromedia Dreamweaver software to set up the site. A couple of months later, someone snagged the AnyAutoparts.com domain name!

All is not lost though, Matt: You might try securing a domain name such as keyfinderthingfreeware.com or keyfinderthingfree.com or some combination like that. Just a thought!

Note: As of today, both of the above domain names are currently available.

I have keyfinderthing.net in my posession now. Can't igure out why anyone would want keyfinderthing.com anyhow, if its gets silly i'll change the name of the software.

I want keyfinderthing.com because I have 2 version which I could use the same domain for and also 2 other version in the pipeline but Im not saying more than that since some bugger will steal them too.
