Weird Error- No Program Associated with file

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this but recently when I open programs I get a weird error that looks like this:

I can run some programs by right clicking the file and clicking Run as Administrator. I have Windows Vista.

I've ran Spybot. I tried to run adaware and AVG, but I can't run the setup files on those programs, even when doing the admin thing.

Anyone have any ideas? This is my first post on here btw, sorry in advance if I did something wrong.

Some times file associations can be broken by various infections. T found the below tool which can be useful in fixing these. I post it here so that everyone can check it out. This is Deckard's Association Fix Tool (DAFT)


Please download DAFT and save it to your desktop:

1. Double-click the daft.exe icon. Read the disclaimer and click OK.
2. Click on the Scan button.
3. Place a checkmark next to the following entries:
   
   .bat
   .cmd
   .inf
   .ini
   .reg
   .txt
   .vbs
4. Click the Fix button.
5. Re-scan and save a logfile. By default, it will save as daft.txt.
