weird ie problem

    hi there

    I have a system at home that seems to be able to run ie6 in safe mode perfectly, but running it in normal mode causes it to crash instantly. I have tried selective startups, disabling 3rd party extensions, clean boots etc... but still no luck.

    anybody with any ideas??????

    Does it crash the instant you try to open it? Do you get any error messages? Have you tried the <Help>, <Detect and Repair> feature, or does it not stay up long enough for you to do so?

    it crashes the second you open it. It looks like it is trying to load a search pane on the left side of the window but then becomes completely unresponsive.


    It's funny how it will work in safe mode but not in normal mode.

    I have also cleaned it out with avg, spybot search and destroy, lavasoft and hjt
