Weird loading sound: person talking?

Hey guys,

I just built my first computer

I currently have installed an Asus p4p800 deluxe mobo, and the weird thing is, when I start the computer, during the load screen, I hear a weird talking noise? It sounds like somone recorded something with a microphone, and whenever I turn on the computer, I hear it.

Can any explain this? or help me turn it off? It's creepy...

I think you can get tablets that make the voices go away. LOL

Are you sure the motherboard doesn't have some sort of audible monitor program?

A few brands have this, and some have a face image talking as well.

Read your manual.

 

No, it's normal. Newer Asus boards have some sound files that play during bootup. I think you can turn them off in the BIOS. Read the manual, I'm sure it will tell you.

 

Yes it it is the Asus talking BIOS. It will verbally tell you of problems as they occur during boot up or that everything is okay. As mentioned by Wyatt, it can be turned off in the BIOS.

A lot of motherboards have that and some for a while too.

Some even have images of faces that talk to you.

Imagine, first thing in the morning you boot your computer and up pops an image of Bill Gates telling you that you have a BSOD.
