weird microsoft outlook issues

Okay,

The user has outlook 2003 installed. He also has Outlook setup to check two separate email accounts. It works fine when he first starts his computer but after awhile it will not send or receive any longer. Also when you go to tools > send/receive it generally has the accounts listed there and he can do a send/receive from their on all accounts or just on a particular one. Well what seems to happen is the accounts disappear and it just says "send" in place of the two separate accounts that were listed. It is around that time that it no longer sends or receives.

Also on the signature it seems to "disappear" after awhile and he needs to re enter the signature information.

Any help would be appreciated.
