Weird monitor behavior from standby

I just purchased and installed a new Hanns-G HW191D LCD monitor. I installed its drivers and it works fine except when my PC wakes up from system standby. I have Windows XP Pro with SP2 running. When it wakes up, the light on the monitor turns green (from orange) and the monitor will show me the XP desktop for about 2 seconds; however, the monitor goes back to blank/dark after the 2 seconds and the monitor light stays green. I have to reboot the computer to get the monitor to work again. I have S3 setup in the BIOS for power. Everything worked fine with my CRT monitor.

    Please advise.

    Should I return the monitor?

Anyone? I have switched the monitor to Plug and Play and that had no effect. I have the most current Nvidia drivers for XP. I emailed tech support and have not heard anything. Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to save energy with Standby mode and an Energy Star rated monitor.

I even changed video cards and it still does not work. I am going to return the monitor today.

I replaced the monitor with a different brand and it all works fine now. I must have had a bad monitor.
