Weird stuff going on.........

Hey to all

I'm new here, but I am in need of some advice.!!

My email is acting weird. I have been using Pegasus V4.11 for a while and all of a sudden, I can't send mail.!! I can receive, but not send. I called my local comcast support people and got the usual dumbass questions, but still, no resolve. I have the program configured just as it was when it once worked, and exactly as the support geeks explained. But still, no send mail. So, I tried downloading anther mail program, Eudora and still the same results. Only way I can send mail is to use the Comcast website and use their Webmail.!! is it possible I have a virus or some other type bug that hinders my mail sendng?? Someone please help me.!!!!!

I know this sounds stupid, but check that your SMTP address is right. I couldn't send emails for three months and then I realised that it was because I accidentally typed blueyoda instead of blueyonder.

 

I've checked and rechecked and I'll check again, but I am typing the SMTP as correctly as I know how.!! I'm at wits end over this one.!!!

Whose providing your internet, and what email address are you using, and whats your smtp address listed as.

 

Comcast is my ISP and I am using a comcast address. The smtp addy is smtp.comcast.net

I just now rechecked it and it still does not work. Could there be a virus or spyware infection that might cause this??? Like i said,, I've tried this with Pegasus and Eudora..!!
