yesterday i formatted my laptop and since then i am having problems connecting to our wireless network. and it was ok before then. i was hoping somebody could help me.

my wireless card is finding random wireless networks nearby, but is not finding our own one for some reason.

my girlfriend's laptop is finding it and connecting to it so it would appear the router and broadband connection is OK. my wireless card is finding OTHER wireless networks so it would appear that is working OKish too.

my laptop will connect to the internet when i plug it into the wireless router directly using a cable. and finally, i am using the same driver etc. as before.

    this has me baffled???? :confused

    thanks for any help

For anybody else who might encounter this problem, i fixed it by turning the 'Broadcast SSID' option ON on my wireless router.
