    Okay so i got a GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 Motherboard.

    and 8 GB of OCZ Special Ops 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

No i have 3 of those running in tripple channel, then i just filled the last slot to give me 8GB...was this a mistake?

When i start my computer(turn it on) everything flashes on for a second turns off, then it takes about 3 seconds for it turn on again and it runs fine.

And since installing the 8GB i have noticed maybe one or two crashes, not sure what it was related to i was playing a game, could be my GFX card got a little hot as tthe darn thing is on fire half the time.

Would it be quicker for my computer to just have 3 2GB models running in tripple channel or keeping all 8?

Sorry i wanted to mention to that when i take out the last stick of ram to give me 6GB the start up problem does not happen. only with that last stick in there.

I will let someone more knowledgeable take on your RAM issue. But for a hot GPU, if it has a fan, chances are you can use RivaTuner to adjust the speed of your GPU's fan. http://majorgeeks.com/download737.html

Is your power supply big enough to handle 8gigs of ram.

Take out the original 6GB and put in the last one alone in slot one. If your issue is that you simply have a bad module, then testing it alone will prove that. And frankly, that's the most likely explanation. Rule that out before you start looking at all the other stuff in your computer.

60ÂșC should not be a problem. I think Mimsy is on to something with the RAM.
