Grab a copy of ReCuva. May be able to help on getting your pictures back.

    Sorry for the delay.

I know this is too late for you Christine but I never keep important things just on my hard drive. Things always go wrong sooner or later, software or hardware, so either burn them to CD/DVD disk or e-mail them to yourself leaving the files on g-mail/hotmail etc. or both.

I have photos and documents that I never want to lose and gawd forbid, if the worst happens like a flood etc.. I might sound anal to you but at least I know it's somewhere off site. Businesses do this all the time.

BTW, don't write anything to your hard drive as that will kill whatever's left there and still intact. Good luck!

  7. augiedoggie's right,
Anything and everything can go wrong with a computer.
But you can always be prepared for such an event, epecially now a days, with inexpensive USB keys, you can use those to back up pretty much anything. Even more convenient than dvd's, at least you don't have to burn a new one everytime you've added something, like music files for example.

Sorry, that was wiped out on the recovery that was done. Try the tools that 'Can't come up with any ' mentioned, other than that, you'd need pay for tools and those are pricey and may not even work in your case. Unless you have a friend with the FBI or such..., you're out of luck. Sorry.:( maybe someone else has had success, hang in there.
