A new job, congrats

 

Wow! What an awesome welcome back...thank you all so much for your good wishes and congrats!

So yeah, I got the job at the local utilities organization. Hadn't realized how prestiguous and a priviledge it was to get the job until people starting saying to me "OH my gosh...you managed to get in there?". I leave my old job on the 22nd - and it couldn't have come sooner. As some of you know I have been the focus of some very random acts of blackmail, written threats, office windows being smashed, and last week saw the latest act of breaking and entering and my laptop stolen. Except they didn't break in - and they tried to silence the alarm by entering a code - which registered on our alarm system...DUH! So I am happy for various reasons to be leaving, but I have learnt that if you fire people (as I have had to) ,make sure they are clinically sane first LOL. I'm taking a fe days off before I start my new job on the 28th - just to cleanse myself of the past first, so to speak.

As I was chatting with Mankind on the phone yesterday (thanks for the call bro!) in walked a co-worker with a new laptop for me, which I now have to configure so I can hand off to my boss as his got stolen too.

There were various reasons I was not online, and still am not to a greater degree. I took a retreat last weekend - it was amazing. The pre-amble to that was fasting, including media. Our whole church is about to enter a 40 day fast, so I am going to be random for a while longer. It is heart warming to know I am and will be missed, and I do and will miss you guys too. You are often in my thoughts Those of you who have my email I would love to hear from you and will reply back. Or drop me a comment on my blog. I had my first spam comment on my blog last week....LOL...what losers!

Health update: the MRI showed no tendon and rotator cuff soft tissue issues. I saw a bone doctor who says I have a rounded clavicle which is causing impingement on the tendon & surrounding nerves. So physical therapy and cortisone shots are the first base.

@Darlene - oh this is just the straw that broke the camel's back. More reasons than room to type on this forum as to why I am leaving. It's all good - it has made me grow tremendously both professionally and personally

Well do keep in touch lev, gratz on the new job, and i just hope things are on there way up with it.

 

Jeez, that's not severe fasting then, not by mum's definition at any rate but she would only do it for two weeks a year, that's why I picked up on it. Actually, more people should do that Daniel fast once in a while, they'll feel better for it for sure, if not for their soul then for their health.

@augie - I forgot to mention every 7th day is a complete fast - no water, no nothing sun-up to sun-down
