I have recently been getting the message " C:\Documen~1\speeed\locals~1\Temp\werf.tmp.dir00 corrupt or unreadable." It appears when I start some games. I recently ran adaware to clean some things up - could that be the culprit? Or is something more sinister going on here, like a virus or something.
I ran chkdsk, and it said it deleted the files, but I restarted and got the same thing.

Is anyone familar with this? Thanks in advance for any help.

My specs are in my sig.

Gotta be more specific for a guy like me - you mean remove and then reinstall?

Hehe. Silly me, I was not specific enought in my reply! I knew you were talking about the video drivers, I just wanted to confirm you meant unisntall and then reinstall.

Well, I just did that and I still get the message. Maybe the drivers were not unistalled*totally* Any definitive way to do this and know for sure? I have a Radeon 9600 Pro.

Thanks for past and any future help.
