What An Afternoon

Background info first. We live in the country. We own 5 acres. Our neighbor owns 75. He does not live around here, just has a hunting cabin on it and lets the Amish farm some of the land. We do keep an eye on it for him, so no one goes in there that shouldn't, etc...

I come home today to see 4 horses up on the hill. We don't own horses, neither does he, but quite a few other neighbors do. As I am taking off my coat, a truck comes barreling in our driveway, onto his and goes up by the horses. Well, the Amish have soybeans planted up there and haven't gotten them out yet, and they drove all over them, trying to get their horses.
I the meantime, my 17 year old got home and she was watching them with me. When they came driving out, she went outside and asked them if they knew they drove thru the crops. First they denied it, but the the driver admitted they did. He did apologize.
BUT, then get this..............they wanted the phone number of our neighbor that owned the land. They wanted to talk to him about fixing "his" side of the fence......UM....excuse me, but he has no animals so why would he even have to have a fence?

I gave him the phone number, but then I called our neighbor myself and told his wife what had happened and what they said about the fence. I wouldn't want to be them when they actually talk to him.

Today is also our 16th anniversary, so going to try to talk hubby into taking me out to eat when he gets home.

 

Sounds like a tough situation going on there, also from what you said before about it.

This isn't the same people who shot at my husband at hunting time. We still don't know who they were.
