What anti spyware program is compatible with Avast

    I tried to install Spyware Doctor but it said they conflict. I have malwarebytes but was looking for another one to go along with it that has real time protection. Besides spyware, I was hoping to get one that guarded against keyloggers as well.

    You should only have one!!! Use the paid version of Malwarebytes and uninstall Spyware Doctor. We don't recommend it anyway.

    I'm sorry but Spyware Doctor is listed by majorgeeks.com, that's where I downloaded it from. I was told you can run two antispyware programs and that they wouldn't conflict with each other. Besides that, I like free better. Thanks for your response though.

    Yes it is an advertised program. It is not malware. We just don't recommend it in the malware forum for a few reasons like: too much excess baggage that slows PCs down, does not provide a useful simple text file log from scans ( they use XML which is terrible ), too many false detections, not as effective as other tools like Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware.

    This is true of free versions with no protection. But if you wish to have malware protection as you indicated, you need to purchase a program and we recommend Malwarebytes or SUPERAntiSpyware for that. And we recommend only one realtime antispyware protection program the same as with antivirus and firewall programs.
