What are the different internet service types?

    i know there is dial up, dsl, and cable. is there any more? can you give a little info about each type and which one is typically the fastest/slowest.

    Residential or commercial... either way you can add fiber too.

    Speed is something you decide with your internet service provider (what you pay for) i am on cable with a direct connection (lan)and that is lightning fast.

    I have no doubts that fiber optic will be faster but here in Belgium it is not available.
