    Hi ,

I had these Error messages come up after windows boot up and before tray loads up, so I turned of some stuff in start up and saw these square's where a name or .exe should be and I am clueless as to what they are but after turning them of in MSCONFIG the errors have gone away.
I have included some .JPEGS of the errors and MSCONFIG window where offending squares reside, can anyone tell me what this is in my registry and if I can delete them in regedit!! :)

Squares like that are usually caused simply because the actual text is written in a font your computer can't display. Usually something like chinese.

What exactly they mean is hard to tell. Although it's most likely some sort of ad or virus that would have placed them there. So if you ran a good virus and ad scanning program you might clear them out with that.

You could delete them from that list in regedit as well, although there isn't really much point since it would have the same effect as unchecking them, with the added bonus of getting rid of them from the list. All the entries in the startup tab of msconfg are in the registry though, and you can delete any and or all of them from within regedit.
