What are these?

Just about every day these two files show up on my desktop. What are they and how do I stop them?

There's no names? Just the .idx and the .lst extensions? Strange. Both extensions are commonly used by many different programs that use/create indexes and lists. Try opening them with Notepad or another text editor to see if there's any data in them. If there is data, maybe you can figure out what program is creating them. If you use AOL, it may be creating the files. In any case, I wouldn't worry about 'em too much. They aren't really hurting anything, and other than being annoying, they are nothing to worry about.

 

I used notepad and got these. I don't understand them.

 

I uninstalled Spyware Terminator Beta 2.5 and so far no more weird files on the desktop.
