what are you bad at?

I was just wonder what everyone was bad at?
like me, I suck at public speaking, I get all nervous, and forget what I want
to say, but I am good at one on one conversations. it's weird.
also when I play video games, if someone is watching me, I suck, but when I am by myself I play much better. I think people make be nervous. LOL.

Oh darlin' I disagree Now as for me singing..that's another story! We won't go there ok? lol

The one thing I am the very worst at and it drives me CRAZY! is remembering names when I am introduced to someone. I normally have an excellent memory that often spooks star but tell me someones name and I will have to ask what it is several times before it sticks in my head.

 

I should be more considerate of others, some have difficult lives, its hard to feel empathy for others who lie. Also lighter note dealing with auto mechanics.

 

what an irony. I was just thinking about the inverse of this topic last night while I pondered my career. The list of what I suck at is , unfortunately for me, longer than the list of the things I am good at. Though I pride myself on being a good dad

 

I can't sing, draw, paint .... I better stop the list of what I'm bad at is pretty long.

Golf. My brother has tried over and over to talk me into taking up the game, but I can't think of any more frustrating way to spend 4 or 5 hours on a Saturday.

 

I'm with Abby. I have a VERY good memory for most things, but names just don't stick. Very frustrating socially.

Hardest thing for me...so I guess it counts...I have NO patience with stupid people. Dumb may be hereditary, ergo forgiveable. There`s no good reason for stupidity

 

I once got asked this in an interview .....

"What are your strengths and weaknesses?"

...so I ranted on about my strengths for a while and then said....

"Weaknesses????...mostly chocolate!"

It got a laugh and I didn't have to list my real wekanesses.....and I'm not going to now either lol

 

Shopping. Always in the crapper for paying a couple of bucks too much, or buying the wrong thing.

my strengths ARE my weaknesses. my empathy (read soft touch), my lack of awe for authority figures (disrespect), my flexibility(tardy), my desire to 'do' and 'be' good (unrealistic), my ability to organize (fastidious), my individuality (inappropriate), i could go on. .....

I'm bad at the opposite of procrastination.

 

I'm bad at being optimistic. I once started to read the book "The Power of Positive Thinking," but then thought, "What good will that do?"

 

I lack tact, I tend to piss people off without meaning to because I say pretty much exactly what comes into my head, when it comes into my head.
this goes hand in hand with what I'm really bad at... which is lying.
If I try to lie it's like my tongue gets bigger and my throat gets smaller. my voice goes all squeeky and I get short of breath. it would be funny, if it wasn't such a pain. lol

 

I know this is about a week old, and digging it up may result in some flames from certain forum members, but I just wanted to say that this question hit me pretty hard recently.

Somewhat like Gottheit's blog entry, I'm not good at socialising with people I don't know. It scares me. A lot.

That's a great read. A couple of good laughs there. The drunken picture taking. Well put. The part about taking time to really think about what a guy is bad at, is true. What I posted here, being bad at shopping, isn't something I'm really bad at. I just don't like doing it. Along the same socializing lines, I don't much like events where I don't know most of the people, But what I'm really bad at is greeting people at these things. Sometimes I'll walk in and it can be significant time before acknowledging someone. Then time I get around to it, it seems stupid. So forget the shopping, I'm worse than I thought!
