Firefox has taken control. I'm sure it was a while back but I never paid attention.

Halo turned me on to their Minefield browser too. It's in Beta (or was a few month back).

I like the Gecko engine :) K-Meleon is my first choice for it's speed, then PaleMoon on the rare occasions K-Meleon doesn't display a page well, I also use FX 3.6.10 and 4.10b.

IE 8 I rarely use, it's just too slow at everything.

Great browser isnt it, even if its a beta still, the nightly updates make it fresh each day.

I use IE8 and IE9 (IE9 is really good in beta form), Opera 10.70, Minefield 4b7pre, Flock, Safari and Konqueror to name the ones I have installed at present.

but then Browsers are a much of a muchness, if they load a webpage then woohooo your onto a winner, 1st hurdle over, after that its a case of does it do what you want, are you a fanboy and hate a browser becasue its "cool" to do so, or have genuine good opinions on a particular browser.

Me well see above list of browsers I use and decide.

FF is my favorite since 2004. IE7 only for Windows Update. Reinstalled Chrome again a few days ago.

Tried Opera, not to my liking as it is virtually impossible to customize it.

I read up a tiny bit about installing FF 4 beta alongside FF 3. FF 4 uses FF 3 profile and I don't know if My Profiles in FF 3 would disappear if uninstalling FF 4. Yes I know that one can create a new profile for FF 4 and copy the contents of the default Profiles folder to the beta but it's a bit above my head right now. :-o

FF here too but before that I had IE6 with the Maxthon add-in(if that's the right words) and really liked it until it started acting up, can't remember now as it was 4 or 5 years ago. The IE 9 beta is nice but it will take a lot for me to leave FF now. It's the comfort factor.;)

Strange how I love the new OS's but a browser has much more of a day to day impact on me as I use it many hours a day compared to an OS that is stable and one doesn't have to touch it much after it's set up.

Opera first, then Google Chrome cause I use Google Earth a lot. Have the others, daughter uses FF, and can't seem it rid the computer of IE. I also use Comcast to get online, and in order to use e-mail IE was it, until Chrome came out.....Wobbles

I tried Opera, but had "issues" with it, and still say it may be better for Hi-Speed, because it sure is not comfy with my DUN.:(

IE7, and FF3.6.10 I do like the new FF tho. Seems to be have a lot more UMPH than the old one.:) Both get along just fine with my DUN;)

I think these stats are drawn from a broader range of sources and more likely to provide a reasonably accurate reflection of 'real world' usage than stats from a narrow subset of servers such as those of W3Schools.

There may be better stats out there, I've not researched it ;)

Google Chrome exclusively. I literally switched from Firefox overnight.. and I do mean "one day I used firefox and the next I didn't". I only use the others if I have to now.

Tried others but I seem to like slimbrowser really well.

I use FF 3.6 the most of any browser. I have tried Chrome and it has plus and minus. I am using Chrome Developmental.

For the drastic times, I have IE 8 in a Virtual XP Box.

    Chrome.
it boots faster than IE or Firefox
loads pages much faster than IE, slightly faster than Firefox
you can tear away tabs to form a whole new window
if Java or Flash or something like that crashes, i don't have to restart the entire browser, just close the tab

Why? Please elaborate on plus and minus features as all software has both, bland statement serves no purpose at all, but to reaffirm a fanboy status.

While I'm an evanglist for MSFT apps I do use Mozilla Minefield as one of my main browsers so not tied to MSFT, Minefield is quick, has a great DL manager and the tie in with your default AV is a good addition, although IE9 beta has these as well, plus its just as quick a browser.

Changed from using FF browser to Palemoon. The latter is faster on my machine than FF and has all the features of FF. For now I even made it my default browser a few days after installing it. Still a FF fan though and look forward to the upcoming new v 4 :)

I also switched to palemoon, but I am not seeing any significant distinction. Smells like FF, runs like FF, must be FF. :-D

Yeah, it is FF but without the thingys that make FF slower than it should be. The home page of both I set to Google but the design is different and of course the name on top. Those are the only visual differences. Most of the time I think I'm on FF when in Palemoon. :-D The difference in speed is really remarkable for me, especially when accessing my web mail in Palemoon.

As far as I understand there are a few differences between FF and Palemoon which are explained on its website.
