What can i use to find some info on my memory?

I want to mess around with my memory timings. What is out there that will let me find out the tightest timings i could run them at? I tired 8-2-2-2 and the computer wouldnt even boot so i need to find out the best i can do.

I'd start with the memory manufacture.
Then I think you just need to go the ole trial & error route.
Sometimes alittle more voltage may help, too much = Toast or Overcooked possibly "LOL"

Thanks Asus. Problem being this is kinda 'generic' memory that i got for 100 bucks. So i am not 100% sure who the manufactor is.

I would try to add more voltage, but my crappy motherboard does not allow me to change the voltage in the bios. Unless there is a program for changing voltages or a new bios release comes out, im screwed.

Back to the bios for a min. Are there optimized bios out there that i could flash too? My current ones are from 2003, and are the latest. I was just wondering if there was something better.

Have you looked at the mem sticks ya got any markings on em?
Are you running Everest or Aida might give you a little info on your memory, and even bios.

I looked at wimsbios.com and my motherboard manufactor isnt even listed there. LOL Wow i hate this board.
