What Did You Buy Yourself for Black Friday/Cyber Monday?

OK. Admit it. Whether or not you shopped for presents for others this weekend, you splurged a bit on yourself - either standing in line early Friday morning or clicking on website sales.

This is your chance to boast about what what you got, how low (or high) the price was and why you like it.

In my case, I thought it would be helpful to have an app. like Square to be able to accept credit card payments when I do on-site service liar). Needless to say, this would require upgrading to a true "smart" phone liar :liar).

I went for a Samsung Galaxy S III, and scored a deal: $99.99 with an instant $100 Fry's gift card rebate made it essentially free (actually, about $16 with the cost of the new SIM card and sales tax - plus selling my soul to AT&T for another two years).

Naturally, the gift card was used to buy presents...liar :liar :liar).

 

Preparing a list from Newegg.com as we speak. I think it's time for another system build

 

Honestly? Nothing. I don't do pressured holiday shopping in any shape or form, for myself or anyone else.

 

I bought 5 qts of oil and filter at Pepboys for $10 (after rebate).

I know my daughter needs oil change in her minivan or it would have been Christmas gift for my son in law.

 

Nothing.

 

I bought myself a 16GB Kodak USB Flash drive for $5.88 at Biglots.

 

Unrelated to black friday, but I happened to buy myself a new ankle holster for a baby Glock on that day. Internet purchase.

 

The Black Friday phenomenon has arrived here in Europe courtesy of Amazon but i refrained the temptation to get out my credit card.

 

#3 son brought a bottle of wild turkey, so I purchased a pack of camels
sat outside and enjoyed the day. haven't got that many left. great day with the family

 

a $9 16G flash drive and $55 worth of various surplus from American Scientific...

They had Pocket Protectors...

 

Nothing much, just a SanDisk 32GB class 10 flash card to use with my GoPro vid cam...

Black Friday came for me about a month earlier when my 8 year old Samsung monitor went on the blink. So purchased a new one from Dell over the phone and also ordered 8 GB of Ram. Had to wait a week for delivery since I didn't want a wide-screen monitor and the numerous stores I called didn't have the size I wanted a 19" - 5:4? Not on sale but happy that I finally found what I wanted.

One week without the PC - yuck!

 

I bought a range bag. Really nice one, on sale for $36. Place does not ship fast, but the price was good.
