okay thanks for the link. ijust want to make sure i only need this right, not also usb 2.0 hub because i already hav 3 usb 1.1 connections in my laptop. also, do u think i can transfer data simutaneously from one external hd to another external hd via 2 usb 1.1 or usb 2.0 connections or i just have to transfer data from external hd (that suppors usb 2.0) to the laptop then that data i just transfered to another hd (or?
and about the USB 2.0 laptop/notebook card, do u know which one is the best to get

That depends on with card ypu buy. Some pcmcia cards have 2xUSB 2.0 and some have 4x USB 2.0. So it depends on how many devices you want to use on usb 2.0.
Yes you can transfer data from one ext hd to antoher ext hd. as long as you have free usb slots...

like the one u gave me the link to right (it says it has 2x usb 2.0 ports)?

That is one with 2 ports, so you can use that one to hook on 2 external hard drives (usb 1.1 or 2.0) and exchange data

okay thanks for the info that helps:) howve, i just have one final questions: it won't matter or give me power supply problems getting from the laptop because both external hds has their own power supply getting from their own powr adapter

As they have their own power supplies that will most likely not cause any problems.

okay that clear now. however i am having trouble with the usb 2.0 that i just brought (windows said it didn't installed properly and may not work prepoerly). is it because i don't have the drives for it because because my compute rwas build before 2003 (and before-2003 computers don't have usb 2.0 build in) or i need to install the drives or whatever came in the cd with it (i have a dynex usb2.0 card)? please le tme know as soon as u can
