What i mean exactly is i want to surf the web on my plasma tv eitheir in my bed in my bedroom or my couch.

anything wireless i can buy? cords around the hallway are a tad annying

You could go for a wireless HDMI sender

The picture quality will be perfect 1080p HD but there can be a slight lag if you want to game,if you only want to surf and and the computer isn't too far away from the tv I wouldn't go for a really high spec and expensive one.

You can also go for a wireless VGA/DVI sender,less picture quality but cheaper,here's a really compact example good for a laptop or similar @ 1680x1050

It really depends how much you wanna spend.

You'll obviously also need a wireless mouse and keyboard.

To stream cable from your cable box to your computer monitor you'll need the device in my first link,it will only show the cableon your TV monitor though so its pretty useless.

I'm not sure where you live but cable and satellite TV over here in the UK cannot be sent to your computer and saved as they are encrypted and won't play with any media centre.

 

What you can use though is a PVR

Connect the cable output signal to your computer then record in real time using the supplied software.

Again the more you spend on the PVR the better the final video recording will be.
