What do you think about...

I like the specs on this mobo, but what are your ideas about the company and the board? EVGA 122-CK-NF63-TR

Also, what do you think about this GPU? Is it worth the money? How well does it work in SLI? Is there something else for the money that works better? MSI NX7900GS-T2D512E-OC GeForce 7900GS

EVGA makes great video cards, and just recently expanded into making motherboards. Overall, I've heard good things, but I haven't personally used an EVGA motherboard. MSI has been making quality (IMO) video cards and motherboards for years; and NVidia (again, IMO) makes the best GPU's available. So, I think you've made some solid choices. Just remember, when setting up SLI, both video cards MUST be the EXACT same make, model, specs... identical !!!!

Thanks for the help on that. This will be my first rig from the ground up so I am trying to so as much homework as possible. Aside from not having a vast cache (don't mind the pun) of knowledge about all the somponents, are there some common pitfalls that amatures (me) don't think about or often overlook?
