Hehehe .... as the others said unless we have a crystal ball no one is going to attempt to figure that one out...

Just give us an idea what OS you are using and at the time of the error what program or function were you using also do this error happen all the time when using the program or function or is it a random thing.

we can possibly help but help us to narrow it down a touch ;)

what were you doing when you had the error mesage? Was it something to do with a help file?
Yes the specs are a great help, now the techies know what you've got they can give you sound advice based on your system.
I would look into partitioning your hard drive,
3 seems to be the favourite number of partitions reading through this board,
one for your OS, one for programs & documents etc, and a third where you can store backups.
    Have you read this?

    lots of good stuff.

what can i do,should i go out and by new RAM,can someone explain what happens in a memory leak?

"a memory leak" is a software term where the application you are running is "leaking" memory, i.e., not managing its use of memory properly.

What this means from the applications point of view is one of two things 1) it allocates memory but doesn't free it, i.e., gobbles memory. and 2) it tries to make use of memory that it hasn't allocated.

In the second case that memory may belong to another application and a conflict occurs or it may be free/spare memory. Free or spare memory is usually uninitialised and thus your application makes use of junk or can be taken up by another application and thus causing another conflict.

What does this mean to a user of the application. Quite simply look for an upgrade or patch for the application that corrects the poor memory management in the first place. It does not mean that you are required to buy more memory or have your own memory management software.

Finally, another solution is to look for another application that does the same job but better than the one that does not manage its memory correctly.

    ---------

From an application developer point of view such memory management issues are handled by the use of code and design reviews, static and dynamic analysis tools, testing, memory management analysers, etc.

Of course, the application developer can use a programming language that doesn't concern itself about memory, i.e., where memory management is handled automatically as possible.

However, none of this is fool proof but it helps to minimise the problems and some memory management issues are detected once the application is in production use.

So all other e-books you have work OK?

then it must be a corrupt e-book ( .lit ) you have try if you can to locate another download location for the same book!

It may have nothing to do with your problem, but buying more RAM won't hurt. I've found that XP & the programs you've added to it runs much better with a minimum of 512 MB.
