Well I heard that if my monitor aint above 85 Hertz then it Will suck... any LCD's or CRT's out there with some good refresh and Hertz?

BTW my monitor only hits 75 Hertz Max i think

most LCDs have low refresh rates, they dont need high rates like CRTs do. It wouldnt hurt to try it on the monitor you already have. Just try ur CRT and bump the refresh rate as high as it will go, it should be fine.

Read the refresh rates on the next monitor you buy...the cheap ones only go to 60hz-75hz if that.
Mine is stuck at 60hz cause it was cheap but it's 21" too.

Highest Refresh rate like 100hz is best...but you processor and memory has to be able to adjust to it also.

Television is 60hz (frames per sec.)
Movie theaters run at 24-32 frames a second.(foget, but it was real slow)
    Dunno bout' IMAX.

Huh??? LCDs don't have low refresh rates, they have NO refresh rates. You can change the refresh rate for your LCD in the display properties, but it makes absolutely no difference. LCDs have 'response time' which is the time it takes the pixel to change state.

Here are a couple of wikipedia references that explain refresh rate and response time.

P.S. - to the original poster, don't buy a new monitor because someone tells you that it might not be good enough. Buy it because YOU want a bigger/better monitor. That 19" Samsung will be fine. (although I'm partial to my 20" widescreen Dell) :)

    I run at 65... I don't have a problem.

But get LCD, CRT is gay, even if it is "better".

    LCD, oooh right.
